As nice as Sept would be, after doing some research, it seems that a lot of places lower their prices at the beginning of October..so in the interest of our budgets that may be a better idea than September.

And then they change it to the 1st weekend of Sept and you're boned...like almost happenedd to me last year when I booked the 1st weekend of Nov (same as the 2 Fanfests prior) and they changed it to the first weekend of Oct. (luckily I was able to swap with the person who had that time booked)
(meh, it's late and I'm cranky, so this is my idea of a bump)

I vaugely recall them announcing the dats last year around the end of March/beginning of April....a bit earlier would be nice though.
Looking forward to going again! (in Oct please, things are cheaper then.)

Not trying to be pushy here, but there's already somebody at work sniffing around the likely dates if ti's in september, and someone else sniffing around the likely october dates too. If I don't get to book soon, I may not be able to go at all :(

I'm in a somewhat similar situation. Preliminary holiday bookings end Mar 31...anybody who books solids dates by that time gets them (by seniority if there is a date conflict) after the 31st, it's first come, first serve on any dates left.
There are people booking 1st weekend of Sept, and 1st weekend of Oct..I have seniority on them, but that only counts if I book before Weds...so please announce the dates soon so I can book in time.
